Hey, my name is Georell Bullock, owner of Bullock's Cool Wave Detailing and Georell Bullock - Shelter Insurance. But before any of that, I was just a kid who was really good at cleaning things.

Growing up, I had this weird knack for it. It wasn't exactly a hobby, but whenever I got into cleaning mode, I would reach a flow state, similar to how some people feel when they do a sport, talk, or draw. I loved taking something unkept and transforming it into something beautiful. My first real experience with automotive detailing happened around 2010, during one of the summers I spent in Hartley, Iowa, with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. It was a beautiful day, and I wanted to jump on the trampoline. Instead, my Uncle Snoop asked me to help detail his car. I didn't want to do it, but once I started, something clicked. I actually enjoyed it.

From there, my love for cars grew through the Fast & Furious and Transformers movies, as well as through owning and driving various cars. Admittedly, I've had my fair share of street racing, stunt driving, and burnouts. That passion merged with my cleaning skills and the two fused into one, each making the other better. To me, detailing is not just cleaning; it's taking something I love and making it shine.

Before working for Shelter Insurance, I worked my way up to supervisor at Interrail Transport UP, loading and unloading cars on trains. It was hard work, and it built a foundation I carry with me every day: work ethic, leadership, and giving it your all no matter what. I also got to drive some sick cars there, like Nissan GT-Rs, 370Zs, Infiniti QX80s, Lexus RCFs, and Mustang GTs, just to name a few.

After that chapter closed, I pursued a career in insurance, starting at the Farmers Insurance Jake Greco Agency in Blue Springs. Like a lot of people starting a new career, I took a pay cut. To help supplement my income, I started detailing cars. I would wake up at 4 in the morning, detail a car, then work eight hours at the agency. I did that for about a year and a half. Eventually I moved to Shelter Insurance and opened my own agency in Mission, Kansas. Building it from the ground up taught me what it truly means to serve people: listen, show up consistently, and make sure every client feels taken care of. That same commitment carries into everything I do at Bullock's Cool Wave Detailing.

Over time, I taught myself the craft through experience, YouTube, and plenty of trial and error. Store bought products weren't strong enough for the results I wanted, so I upgraded the products, the process, and the standard.

What started as Bullock's Cool Wave Express, my mobile detailing business, now has a dedicated shop at 1600 S Noland Rd in Independence, MO. Detailing isn't a side hustle to me. It's a calling. No matter what the car is or who you are, you'll get my passion, my customer service, and my highest standard of quality.
